WHO IS SUITABLE FOR LIP ENHANCEMENT? People of all ages are suitable for this procedure. Younger patients often prefer the filler to be placed into the lip border to give a sharper more defined smile. Particular emphasis is placed upon enhancing the cupid's bow and ensuring the ratio of lower lip to upper lip is in the golden ratio of 1.67:1. This gives the most pleasing and natural looking lips. As patients age they tend to lose volume from the lips resulting in a thin smile and fine lines (rhytids) which make it difficult to apply lipstick smoothly. Filler injections allow us to restore this lost volume creating a healthy, natural looking lips.
HOW DO DERMAL FILLERS WORK? Dermal Fillers are delivered under the skin surface with a very fine needle. Once injected, the gel plumps and lifts the skin gently to replace collagen loss caused by the natural aging process.
